The story of Norðurárdalurpasta started some time in April 2015 when Daniel Kjartan Johnson was looking for a Hotel & Restaurant Manager in Switzerland.
It is in an add on the internet that brought Daniel and Mathieu together. After a phone call and a few emails, Mathieu visited Iceland for the first time in May.
In June Mathieu started to produce home made pasta with two small manual pasta machines. Very soon the demand exceeded the production capacity of those machines.Daniel and Mathieu decided to import an electric machine from Switzerland, after some trying and getting the right ingredients, the live of Norðurárdalurpasta started. Since August we produce 9 different shapes of pasta ( see pictures below ), with 6 different flavours.
The flavours are plain, tomato, spinach, coconut curry, lemon chilli and peperoncini.
